Preface: None of my friends or family read or know about my blog. At least to the best of my knowledge… if they stumbled upon it they’d know it was me in a second. Sometimes my posts are straight copy and paste from e-mails I send them (thus, they need not bother with the blog).
So last night I had a dream that involved a conversation with the Boy about my blog. It went thusly…
B: Oh yeah, that blog, Stories About Wolves, my co-worker used to read it all the time.
M: <thinking, “That’s me!!” but not wanting to reveal myself at this point, b/c who hides a blog from their live-in lover for 7 months?> Huh…
B: Yeah, he stopped reading it, though, said it just got boring.
M: <righteous indignation!> Huh..
B: And what’s with that stupid name anyways?
Me: <shouty, shouty all up in my head. “You know! Margaret Atwood, oh my god! You KNOW that’s my favorite book and my favorite quote! Oh, HATE.”> Huh…
So…. was my subconscious more concerned with the fact that I’ve never told my friends I blog? Or the fact that my blog has been a little dull of late?
Or was it all just random nuerons firing in a different way than usual since one extremely hefty feline had stolen my entire pillow?
Ah, the elusive annonymous blog. My last blog was supposed to be annonymous and no one who knew me in real life was supposed to know about it. It really didn’t work that well. And the one before that was supposed to be the same. Again, disaster. So I’m a bit nervous about the fact that I’ve actually attempted a round 3 and that NO ONE knows about it thus far, save fellow bloggers, of which the Stud is not one, and that I’m contemplating letting this boy move in in 4 short months. So tell me, oh wise one, how have you managed to keep it a secret from the live-in lover?
I have no idea how you would keep this secret from someone living with you. How do you ever blog? In secret? In the dead of night?
I tried to keep my blog on the DL at first. Now I’m a little more open about blogging. But my boss found it via a friend/coworker’s blog and that was a scary experience. NOT that I write about work or anything, but I just wanted those spheres kept separate.
Shoot, tell everyone and then no one will read it. Trust me on this one.
I agree with Elayne.
it’s always fun to find out that your parents are secretly reading your blog when your dad asks if you are graceful like a gazelle….on crack! and then laughs uproariously.
however, this was oh so many weeks ago. I hope that you are not having any surgeries and that everything is okay. and that no one is reading your blog unless you want them to.
hi!
