Ups:
I’m done with all my Christmas shopping!
I purchased one of these last night and highly recommend it to everyone.
I got a full night of sleep last night. (I’m stretching here…)
And:
I found this yesterday, also, and after bursting into tears, I resolved to knit some scarves.
Downs:
One of my favorite bloggers lost her dog over the weekend. I don’t want to talk about it. I burst into tears at dinner last night telling the Boy about it. The thought of losing one of my kitties squeezes my heart into tiny, tiny pieces…
Work is crazy-busy, and I don’t have time or energy to be witty.
Because of PMS (notice all the bursting into tears I’ve been doing? it’s how I roll..) and work crazy-busy related reasons, my treasured purchase above may not last the day.
And even though I’m done shopping, I have about a bajillion scarves and hats to finish for Christmas.
have i even started christmas shopping yet? no.
i hate you. and by hate, i just mean that i’m really jealous. i might progress to hate later on in the week if it gets worse. and by it i mean dealing with the shitload of other slackers like myself who will be in front of me in line.
Heh, guess I neglected to mention I did all my shopping online. That is my way. And my way is good, I feel, because I am willing to pay shipping fees if it means I don’t have to deal with humanity.
I, too, am an online shopper. However, I have not done any shopping. Except for my sister and my husband. That leaves about eleventy-billion people to shop for. Although I decided that my mom really wanted a hand-knit hat & scarf combo - so that’s what she gets
I was so sad about Doxie’s dog, too. I love her site, and her dogs.
Hi, it’s me, Elayne, your Dirty Knitter Swap pal. I know you are busy but I wanted to find you and check out your blog and see if I can’t figure out cool knitting stuff to send you. I hand dye yarn so maybe you’d like some of that stuff with a favorite pattern or book.
You must like wolves. I have five dogs. I guess the Newfoundland is kinda like a wolf size dog. Maybe he’s bigger. The other four are doxies. And a couple cats, and three parrots, a dozen or so peacocks, three horses, a few chickens. You get the idea.
I knit. Learned a looooong time ago. My husband spins, yup, like yarn. Tatoos and all. He now has two wheels and is threatening to teach me. I’m not getting the drop spindle thing too well. I’m teaching him to knit.
Let me hear from you and we’ll see what kind of knitting you are interested in so I can sip my martini and paw through all this yarn and get inspired.
