I just caught myself thinking, “If I got fired and knocked up, there would be no reason at all for me not to sit around knitting all day. That would be great!”
Fired and knocked up are two things I don’t intend to be for a very long, long time. Like possibly ever.
ummm…that was scary. I hope you’ve recovered.
also, was it hard to learn how to knit? I was thinking that it might be a nice thing to know how to do. Also, I need scarves.
Amy–I taught myself how to knit from the internet, and I’m completely uncoordinated, so I’m sure if I can do it, anyone can.
And I admit, the idea of sitting around all day, demanding the father of my unborn child run out to the store at the onset of every insane craving that strikes my fancy, knitting, blogging, watching CNN, and having everybody rub my belly, seems quite appealing. I just ignore all the intellectual consequences and fantasize about how glorious it would be to be slothful for a bit.
i tried to convince my architect that when we had our baby (kitty) that I needed him to fetch me ice cream and gin and other necessities, but somehow, that didn’t work.
maybe I’ll buy me some knitting needles this weekend.
What a funny thought! Maybe you should just take a day or two off … or make sure you choose some wealthy hottie who can afford to keep you knitting all day!
