Wow, looks like the secret to high stats is in giving broccoli to the homeless (and by the way, this was good broccoli!). Either that or leaving a link to your site on Amalah’s site. Yesterday was a busy day. I made it up to #6 on WordPress’s growing blogs list! (Which I wouldn’t have known at all had I not received a visitor from there as well. I do not regularly scan this list for my own blog. No, really, I don’t!)
I just cleaned my desk and cubicle in general. I would feel very clear-minded and ready to resume work except that I’m a little light-headed from the four (4!) antibacterial wipes I used. And since I will readily admit it generally takes one antibacterial wipe to clean up my kitchen, I think we can all deduce that I’m not obsessive, it was that dirty in here. While I was cleaning, I found some interesting things, including:
- A project calendar from May for a project that ended in June. I.. wha? What happened here??
- My Grey’s Anatomy soundtrack—I let out a yelp of excitement and promptly put it in the player.
- Four plastic grocery bags–just in case I need to suffocate someone?
- A very large, persistent pink stain that looks somewhat like that crazy wall writing in Stigmata.
- A page-a-day Scrabble calendar left on January 15—Time stops for MLK, Jr.’s birthday?
- A jar of peanut butter. I don’t think I’ve purchased peanut butter in over a year!
- An old compact several shades too dark for me. ???
So clearly, the rest of my afternoon will be spent brushing up on my Scrabble skills to the tune of Patrick Dempsey dreams…
Congratulations on your popularity! I didn’t even know that site existed. Maybe I need to write more about broccoli and less about gin
Okay, actually, whenever I come to DC next, we’re splitting a bottle of wine and playing Scrabble. Deal?
