Today is lame, with lame weather and lame work. And lame apartment building managers getting me all worked up about glue traps and not putting them down.
I shall steal the Friday Feast idea from Leonie. Thank you, Leonie. I apologize for not knowing how to HTML an accent yet.

What is the last thing you had to have repaired?
Two weeks ago I replaced my windshield wiper blades. I got it in my head that it really needed to be done that day, before driving back to my parents’ for the weekend. This required borrowing pliers from the building maintenance guy and performing a wee operation on my car in the office parking lot. I would have probably felt pretty awkward about this except that there were a couple other people out there staring under the hood of a large truck.

If someone gave you $2,000 with the stipulation that you had to spend half of it on yourself and give the rest to charity, where would you spend the $1,000 and which charity would receive your remaining $1,000?
I would spend my $1,000 on paying off my credit card bill. It would almost cover the new computer I just put on there, so it would be like spending it on a shiny, shiny, new laptop.
I would be very torn about the charity $1,000, though. I think I would divide it in some manner between an animal rescue / welfare group or two and this group. I’ve been told they are reputable and good by someone I trust very much, otherwise I might be inclined to send all the money to the animals.
I think I would also hold out $100 of the charity money and hand it to the homeless man at the end of my street.

What is one of your favorite songs from the 1980s?
Nena, “99 Luftballoons” — It’s my cell phone ring!

You enter a pet store. Which section do you go to first?
Oh, you ask this question as though it's hypothetical, not something I do on practically a weekly basis! The cat toys, in hopes of finding that one magical toy that will entertain Geoffrey for the ages. Then, with resignation, to the cat food and/or litter.

On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being highest, how athletic are you?
Well, we are in the midst of a health initiative at my office where we wear pedometers and record our steps and amount of time on other aerobic activities on a website. The website shows us where we are along a fictional representation of the Lewis and Clark trail. Out of the 40 or so people participating , I came in fourth (well, really fifth, but that’s because one guy entered 6 hours of disco dancing in a mean, petty effort to beat me). I try to walk rather than drive when it’s logical, and I do go to the gym frequently. So if all this means athletic, then probably a 7.
If we’re talking coordination, um, 2.
